Stevie Wonder to Topbill Cardiff's Premier Music Series
The renowned musician Stevie Wonder has been confirmed as the headlining performer for a number of open-air concerts in Cardiff this upcoming summer season.
The performer, who is 74 years old, will take the stage in the city for the first time since the 1970s with a concert at Blackweir Fields, located beside the River Taff.
The artist, who has won 25 Grammys as a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, will perform their Love, Light & Song concert in the city on July 9th.
The performance is among a few at the newly developed central area venue this year, with Noah Kahan, Kings of Leon, Alanis Morissette and Slayer also headlining.
Oasis and Sir Tom Jones Have also revealed performances in the city throughout the summer.
Stevie Wonder started his career as a child prodigy with Motown during the 1960s and went on to become one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.
Promoter Peter Taylor stated: "There is no question that Stevie Wonder is a legend, captivating crowds across the globe with his remarkable abilities since the 1960s."
Cardiff is set to enjoy an incredible concert, and we're excited to host such a prominent global figure in this picturesque region.
The artist's extensive collection features 32 chart-topping hits such as "For Once in My Life," "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours," "I Just Called to Say I Love You," "My Cherie Amor," and "Superstition."
