Adhikari Blasts Mamata Banerjee: 'Speech Aimed at Vote Bank and Appeasement'
East Midnapore ( West Bengal [India], April 10 (ANI): In response to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Leader of the Opposition's Address Suvendu Adhikari criticized the leader of the governing Trinamool Congress for engaging in "appeasement" and building "vote banks," mentioning that the Waqf (Amendment) Act will now be enforced.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee On Wednesday, they stated that there would be "no divide and rule" policy in the state during their tenure. They also mentioned that members of the Muslim community feel “aggrieved” about certain issues. Waqf Amendment Act , yet she urged them not to yield to the political provocation.

"Our duty is to shield those residing in Bengal. I urge everyone: should someone incite you politically to gather, please refrain from doing so. Remember that Didi will safeguard you and your belongings. Together, we have the power to overcome anything," she concluded.
She stated that certain individuals are trying to tarnish the reputation of Bengal.
"We strive for unity rather than division. As long as we remain unified, our nation will advance. We believe in coexisting harmoniously with one another. There are individuals tarnishing Bengal’s image by claiming that I fail to protect the Hindu faith within the region. But then, who provides security to everyone else? It should be acknowledged that minority communities in Bengal also observe Hindu festivities. This fills me with pride when speaking about Bengal," she stated.
In the meantime, the BJP has fiercely criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee , accusing her administration of failing to maintain law and order when violence broke out in the Jangipur area in the Murshidabad district during Waqf Amendment Act protests.
Suvendu Adhikari , uploaded a video to X on Tuesday, purportedly depicting the violent confrontations that occurred in the region.
He stated that specific "antisocial" individuals were setting fire to public assets, torching police vehicles, and causing mayhem under the guise of demonstrations. Additionally, he criticized the state government for engaging in " vote-based political tactics."
Violence erupted in West Bengal In Murshidabad district on Tuesday, demonstrations took place against the Waqf Amendment Act , leading to confrontations where stones were thrown and police vehicles were set on fire.
"Agitators are causing unrest by setting fire to government and public property and instigating disorder under the guise of protests. Such actions do not represent legitimate disagreement but rather vandalism, which is entirely against constitutional principles. It appears that the West Bengal Government and authorities are neglecting their duty to uphold law and order as they intentionally overlook these acts to safeguard the ruling party’s voter base," stated Adhikari in his tweet on X.
