Today: Registration Opens for Ayushman Bharat Scheme—Delhi's Health Minister Announces Launch
New Delhi [New Delhi], April 10 (ANI): Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh On Wednesday, they were notified about the registration for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), which commences today in the national capital.
The state-sponsored health insurance program offers financial security to less affluent segments of society, with coverage for hospital expenses up to Rs 5 lakhs per family each year.
Speaking to reporters, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh He stated, “This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will enhance the facilities and infrastructure for the residents of Delhi. It will enable us to fulfill the pledges we have made to the citizens of Delhi… Registrations commence this Thursday, and from then on, the people of Delhi will gain access to advantages they had been denied over the past 11 years because the former administration failed to implement them.”
This marks the initial stage of the registration process. Ayushman Bharat Scheme in the national capital.
Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said, "An MoU for PM ABHIM Something significant will occur shortly. Over the past decade, the damaged infrastructure requires restoration, which is precisely what we're undertaking. The Maholla Clinics are in disarray. We are currently investigating each one,” the Delhi Minister further stated.
After the national announcement, Delhi joined as the 35th state and union territory to adopt the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). Health National Health Authority (NHA) of the Union Ministry of Health Health The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi government on April 5th.
The accord was signed by LS Changsan, Additional Secretary of MoHFW, and the CEO of the National Health Authority. Health Authority (NHA) along with Dr SB Deepak Kumar, who serves as the Secretary Health along with the Directorate of Health Services and Department of Family Welfare) Health along with the Department of Family Welfare, Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi.
Speaking to the audience, Nadda said, “This is a source of great pride because the nation’s biggest healthcare program, operational in 34 states and union territories, will now be launched in the national capital too.” (ANI)
